IIM Calcutta tops BT-MDRA India’s Best B-Schools 2023 list followed by IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore & other MBA institutes 

BT & MDRA are back with the annual listing of the best B-schools in India to help aspiring MBA candidates make the right choice. This listing is done based on the quality of education, infrastructure, placements, feedback from the students and teachers, and other parameters. Take a look at the business schools which have made the cut

B-Schools 2023 

Founded in 1961, Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has been at the forefront of technology-oriented management. Currently led by its director Uttam Kumar Sarkar, IIMC has topped the BT-MDRA India’s Best B-Schools 2023 list. Its placement performance in 2023 has been prolific as around 190 firms extended 573 offers to 465 students. Some of its key features are campus area of 135 acres with seven lakes, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 750 people, and a state-of-the-art finance lab 

IIM Calcutta: Rank- 1st

- Online programmes in multiple formats such as six-month, one-year programmes, and even shorter courses 
- Technology made an integral part of traditional electives including finance, marketing and HR

New facilities at IIM Calcutta 

Founded in 1961, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is second in the BT-MDRA India’s Best B-Schools 2023 list. Its new director Bharat Bhasker is focussed on the future as he said, “ChatGPT didn’t take me by surprise,” He further said, “We provide a variety of Management courses on an online platform for free as we don’t want people to stop educating themselves.” 

IIM Ahmedabad: Rank- 2nd

Some of the key features of the campus include Vikram Sarabhai Library, student, faculty and staff housing, indoor and outdoor sports complexes, yoga room, canteens, pharmacy and general store, and centre for data science and AI. One of the newest facilities at IIM Ahmedabad is Online@IIMA to provide online programmes and online certification courses

features 

Founded in 1973, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, has been ranked third in BT-MDRA India’s Best B-Schools 2023 list. Its placement performance for 2023 has been notable as 512 students of PGP and PGP-BA 2021-23 got 606 offers. Led by Director, Rishikesha T. Krishnan, the key features of the campus include its main campus spread over 100 acres and its second 110-acre campus in Mahanthalingapura. IIMB has launched some new programmes such as digital business and entrepreneurship

IIM Bangalore: Rank- 3rd

Founded in 1973, the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has been ranked fourth in BT-MDRA India’s Best B-Schools 2023 list. Led by Archana Shukla, the placement performance of IIML for the year 2023 has been great as all the students have been placed as the institute received 632 offers for 556 students. Some of its key features are that the campus is spread across 185 acres, which includes a library named Gyanodaya spread across 30,000 sq. ft

IIM Lucknow: Rank- 4th

Spread over 45 acres in the heart of Mumbai, close to the iconic Juhu beach, S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai is known for its amenities like residential facilities and night canteen. SPJIMR ranked 5th in BT-MDRA India’s Best B-Schools 2023 list. Its placement performance for 2023 has been commendable with all its students placed, with a median salary of Rs 32.01 lakh per annum. Led by its dean Dr Varun Nagaraj, SPJIMR has launched  ‘SPJIMR FinNovate Accelerator’ and a two-year PGDM Online programme on Coursera
