Ratan Keswani stepped down from his position as Deputy MD, Lemon Tree & Director, Carnation Hotels, last year, concluding a decade-long tenure. Prior to that, he served as President, trident Hotels. Over 3 decades he held various roles within Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in India and overseas. In a freewheeling chat on his first book, Ratan Keswani talks to Aabha Bakaya, Sr Editor, BTTV, on what it takes to be a good manager, build great teams and run long-standing institutions. He talks about the importance of knowing your employee’s needs, being customer-facing at all times, and evolving with the needs of every generation. Currently, Ratan Keswani operates as an independent consultant & coach. Proceeds from the book will go to MUSKAAN PAEPID, an NGO that trains and places differently-abled persons.
